This mission is an ongoing project sponsored
by the Orbisonia United Methodist Church. Our long-term goal is for each child to have a high school education.
Hurricane Katrina ~ Mississippi

Members of the Orbisonia UMC have participated in a number
of mission trips to Hurricane Katrina ravaged areas in Mississippi and Alabama. These trips are an ongoing effort supported
by UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief)
Orbisonia UMC has provided assistance to the Tarahumara Indians in the construction
of a new church. Work teams have provided labor and materials. We are now helping with woodworking and sewing facilities
in order to enable them to become self-sufficient.
